Welcome to Mystic Bayou, a hidden sanctuary where shape-shifters, vampires, and witches navigate life alongside unsuspecting humans. When a mysterious energy rift begins to widen and threaten the town’s magical balance, the League dispatches energy witch Danica Teel to investigate. With the stakes rising, she must partner with the town’s charming, bear-shifter mayor, Zed.
This laugh-out-loud paranormal romance thrives on the irresistible dynamic between a work-obsessed heroine and a hero who falls head over paws for her. As they dig deeper into the swamp’s secrets, their sizzling chemistry collides with the pressure of a looming deadline. The banter is sharp, the stakes are dangerous, and the sparks flying between them are just as volatile as the rift itself.
If you are looking for a cozy, feel-good escape, this story delivers the perfect blend of small-town charm and supernatural suspense. Featuring the classic forced proximity trope and a slow-burn romance that eventually boils over, it is a must-read for fans of witty, character-driven fantasy. Whether you are a shifter enthusiast or simply crave a delightful, witty romance, this stand-alone is your next favorite read.

Absolutely loving these Mystic Bayou books! They are so easy fun and feel-good. Some of the best cozy, fantasy, romance books out there! The characters are so lovable and the banter is *chef's kiss*! I really enjoyed the whole host of characters photo making the town and the way the author builds the fun tidbits you know about each of them as you move from story to story. I can't wait to enjoy more as I continue the series! )

I enjoyed reading about Zed meeting his match in Dani. Dani is a strong heroine, but with some vulnerabilities, which makes her more likable. This story delves more into the rift as Dani attempts to solve that problem while dodging a competitor. My one critique is it felt short... the story ended at 71 percent read on my Kindle, and the rest was previews of other Molly Harper books. My other pet peeve with this series is that the stories are coming out on Audible first... so I have to wait for...

I love Molly Harper's books. They are funny and entertaining . This one was no exception. I loved the characters and the Mystic Bayou series is definitely not disappointing. I do wish the cover has a male with Long hair to match the character in the book but that is a pet peeve for me and not enough to keep me from giving this book five stars. ) One person found this helpful

Whenever I’m having a stressful week, I’ll get one of Molly’s books and read. Urban fantasy and enough romance to make it interesting, but great characters who you genuinely want to have in your life. Every book of hers I’ve read is like a book that comes with a hug and a cup of tea. Come for the shapeshifters and stay for the brilliant humor, stress free time and the, smile you’ll have on your face while enjoying her books. ) One person found this helpful

I'm a Molly Harper fan because I love her characters so much I'd like to have them as friends myself. The Mystic Bayou stories are fun and sweet, but not nearly as funny as the Half Moon Hollow series. ) 3 people found this helpful
