Leila was born with a secret that turned her mother into her worst enemy. After a harrowing attempt on her life at thirteen, she has spent five years in self-imposed isolation, hiding the truth of what she truly is. In a world where being different is a death sentence, solitude has become her only shield against a society that fears and hunts the unusual.
Everything changes when Isaac Grey steps into her life. He sees past her guarded exterior, offering a glimpse of a world where she is not a freak, but a powerful anomaly. As a captivating paranormal romance, this story introduces a unique multi-shift dynamic that challenges everything Leila thought she knew about her own nature. Isaac isn’t just a love interest; he is the key to unlocking a hidden heritage she never dared to imagine.
However, discovery comes with a devastating price. As Leila is pulled out of the dark, she finds herself caught in a whirlwind of action, supernatural danger, and intense sacrifice. If you are craving a gritty, high-stakes shifter romance filled with strong, smart-mouthed heroines and a plot that refuses to slow down, this is the addictive read you have been waiting for.

Wowsa!! This book is action packed with a lot of great characters. I love supernatural books and this had it in spades. Leila is one tough smart a** chick I really connected with her she's a terrific herione and can she kick some booty! Do not mess with her or her loved ones. Issac is a bit of a mystery for awhile I wasn't sure what he was but I knew he was a match for our girl Leila. They have a really beautiful connection. This book made me laugh out loud plenty. The things Leila says are...

Let me preface this review with this: I have read & loved almost everything Lila Rose has written. The only thing I haven't read of hers is her YA book. Having said that, I will continue with my review. Early in this book I struggled with what I would say in my review, whether I would be able to give even 3 stars. I am an avid reader of PNR, therefore I can be pretty picky about it. I know this. I felt the first half of the book was not only up to my standards (what I like in a paranormal...

Omg where to start! I love all of this authors books and the first paranormal I read from her was A Torn Page I think was the first book in the trilogy and man was it freaking awesome and I so want more from that world! That being said this was right there with it! I absolutely loved this book and it gave me all the feels. Its been awhile since I cried while reading a book and let m tell you, after everything Leila already had to put up with I felt her pain when Isaac crushed her and I so cried...

Decent. I did not expect the storyline to finish with this book...there was a lot of plot and foreshadowing and because of that the ending felt a tad rushed. That being said it was not a bad read at all. Good one day summer read. ) 2 people found this helpful

Leila has lived the past 5 years lonely, isolated and labelled the town freak. At college she meets Isaac who changes who world. I loved this book, I just wish the ending was a bit longer as it felt a bit rushed wrapping up the story. This is the first paranormal novel Lila Rose has written but I hope she writes some more in this genre. ) 4 people found this helpful
