Super steamy werewolf romance from Honey Phillips. Derek has baggage from his past that makes him not want a mate, but when Julie arrives as his new assistant, there is an instant connection. Julie feels it, too, but she also has baggage that makes her wary of a relationship with her boss. The pull is too strong & we get a HEA. The journey to get there is a fun read. I liked this story about Julie (human woman) and Derek (werewolf and owner of TalkToMe). Julie moved to Monster Island after accepting a job with TalkToMe. If I remember correctly, she was getting away from a relationship that didn't work out. They met when Julie got into the elevator at the company and Derek was already in there. I enjoyed the plot and characters in this story immensely, but unless the author continues stories around the Moonstone pack characters it becomes “less” to me. You are left wondering about the other major characters that contributed to the story such as Adrian (MMC’s brother), pack members John, Elise and Irene. They all had something going on in their lives, especially Adrian saying he was not likely to become mated even though he’s Alpha, why??? I really enjoy this authors work as it is...

Wonderful HEA!

I've been a fan of this author for years now. It was a wonderful new change from the alien romances I'm used to her writing. I wondered if I would like it being how she has such an intertwined world built for her other series. This was a nice story with a good pace and characters like always! I only wish for a little longer story but it's also one of the reasons I love Honey Phillips. Not too short but just enough to keep my ADHD brain occupied and craving more from her. Lovely, full of HEA...
