Annwyl the Bloody has earned her fearsome reputation by leaving a trail of decimated armies in her wake. As a warrior princess with a singular mission to decapitate her tyrannical half-brother and seize his throne, she has little room for sentiment. However, her brutal path takes an unexpected turn when she is rescued from the brink of death by Fearghus the Destroyer. He is a massive, ancient dragon, but beneath his scales lies a surprising conversationalist who offers her a rare sense of safety in a world that usually treats her as a monster.
This high-octane paranormal romance perfectly blends dark, gritty battle scenes with the sharp-witted banter of a classic enemies-to-lovers dynamic. The tension skyrockets when Fearghus pairs her with a rugged, arrogant knight for combat training. As Annwyl navigates the fierce physical desire sparked by her trainer and the deep, magical connection she shares with her dragon protector, she finds herself caught in a dangerous game of hearts and blades.
If you crave a story where alpha females hold their own against lethal, shape-shifting warriors, this series opener is your next obsession. It is a bold, humorous, and unapologetically intense ride that redefines what it means to be a dragon-kin companion.

\"Dragon Actually\" Annwyl the Bloody seeks to defeat her half-brother, Lorcan, and take over his throne. Injured while fighting a battle, she's surprised to wake up to a dragon, who knows how to talk. Fearghus the Destroyer nurses her back to health, and then falls for her. What Annwyl doesn't know is that Fearghus is a shifter, who sits and talks with her by night and, while in his human form, helps her train for battle by day. Annwyl has fallen for both her men, but what will she do when she...

4 stars for DRAGON ACTUALLY. Story Brief: This was fun watching a fierce female warrior called Annwyl the Bloody. With her swords and knifes she could take on groups of men at the same time, beheading them and cutting off their arms. But this time, there were too many of them. Fearghus a dragon was nearby watching. When she was wounded and close to dying, he kills the soldiers with fire and takes her back to his cave to heal. They become close. He tells her he has a human friend who can train...

This purchase includes two novels: Dragon Actually and Chains and Flames. My review applies to both. I love most dragon stories, and the dragons have many attractive characteristics in these stories. They have the ability to shape change between dragon and human forms. They are incredibly beautiful in both forms. Of course, they fly and breathe fire. Some of them would be interesting dinner companions if you weren’t on the menu. The problem with these books is that they are shallow stories...

It’s been awhile since I’ve revisited the Dragon Kin Series. I have to warn you, it is my hands down absolute favorite dragon series ever. It’s snarky and gritty, action packed, and chock full of strong female leads that are mean as snakes and absolutely hilarious. Oh, and there are some super-hot alpha male dragons who attempt to tame them. Dragon Actually started my obsession with everything Dragon Kin. I adored reading this almost as much as when I first read it, even though it’s reread...
