Well worth the Wait...

As I read all the other reviews, it amazed me that we have been waiting for this book since 2006. Time flies when you are waiting for Christine Feehan books!!! As has been said, this is a LONG awaited book. When so many have waited so long and have had soooo many discussions on the why, where and how Skyler and Dimitri should get together, the possibility of disappointment loomed large for this story. While I am sure many will have their favorite nitpicky things they don't like about this book...

Dark Wolf is one of those books that fulfills a promise. We all fell in love with Skylar and Dimitri back when Skylar was just a child. We knew even before she was with Dimitri that she would fall for someone with an affinity for wolves, way back in Legend. Skylar was a child and Ms Feehan had to wait. Writing a story for someone of that age was just wrong. Over time we have watched Skylar grow up. We watched her meet her Lifemate and realize that there was still to wide of a gap for them. But...

Totally Loved It!

Finally, Skyler and Dimitri's story! Fans have only been waiting for it for a decade! I thought it was wonderfully written. The action was nonstop from page 1, and never let up. I know some readers will think that there should have been more focus on the romance between the H/H, but you have to remember that their relationship has been building and referenced in the past 7 or more books. How much build up does a person need? Their relationship is pretty much already established before this book...

Wow this was a good book, not as fast paced or engaging as DARK LYCAN, but I loved it. I'm eager for Dark Blood now. Skylar and Dimitri were wonderful. As well as Lucian for allowing cooler heads to rule. Poor Gabriel he certainly showed it's painful for father's when they have to let go of their little girls. Dark Wolf was the book we all have been waiting for. Since Dark Celebration I think every avid reader of the series was waiting for and looking forward to Skyler and Dimitri. I know I certainly was. Some have said this book was a disappointment or a let down and I can definitely see how some can say that; however, I found this story amazing and beautiful none the less.
