Dark Prince

by Christine Feehan

About this book

Deep in the Carpathian Mountains, an ancient, powerful race faces extinction. Mikhail Dubrinsky, the prince of his people, is a man pushed to the brink of madness by the crushing silence of his own mind. He has spent centuries hunting the darkness, waiting for a light he fears may never come. For those who crave high-stakes urban fantasy, his story is the ultimate foundation of a legendary saga.

The narrative shifts when he crosses paths with Raven Whitney, a gifted human with extraordinary telepathic abilities. As she is drawn into his hidden, royal world, the boundary between protection and possession blurs. This is a classic tale of fated bonds, blending the intensity of the shifter genre with the atmospheric tension of a gothic academy setting. Their connection is volatile, all-consuming, and serves as the catalyst for a sweeping romance that spans decades of storytelling.

Whether you are a longtime fan or a newcomer looking for your next addictive series, this special edition offers an expanded look at the origins of the Carpathians. It is an essential read for anyone who loves intense, supernatural chemistry and the trope of the tormented monarch finding his salvation. Dive into this dark, mystical world where love is the only thing standing between survival and total annihilation.

*Some Spoilers* Sometimes when it's been a while since you read a book you can forget just how wonderful it is. You remember it was special, that you loved it. It stands out in your memories, but memories normally pale to the truth. I had forgotten how captivating, imaginative, and amazing the Carpathians world Christine Feehan created is. Her Carpathian race are just boundless. They can pretty much do anything. And I love that. I loved Dark Prince from beginning to end. I only reason this book...

3.5-4 stars, interesting start to series

3.5-4 stars “Is this possession, or is it love?” So, this was my first foray into the world of the Carpathians and that quote above is pretty much the exact question I asked myself for much of this book. I’ll explain more of that in a moment. Overall I thought the book was decent and it has made me curious to see what some of the other books has in store, after all there’s like 27 books in this series so it obviously has something that give it sticking power. This particular book was a bit slow...

Dark Prince: Author's Cut ., Book 1 of The Dark Series by Christine Feehan!

September 17, 2016

Dark Prince is the first book of the Dark Series by Christine Feehan, and it introduces us to the world of the Carpathians. The main characters are Mikhail Dubrinsky, the Prince of the Carpathian people, and to Raven Whitney, an American visiting the Carpathian Mountains to get away from her job in the USA. Raven has a very strong psychic ability, and has been using it to catch sexual predators and murderers that have eluded capture. She has helped to capture 3 men so far and it has almost made...

Great kickoff to a very good series.

New to Feehan but amazing characters and change to a bit of vampire lore that really reads well and brings you into the Carpathian mountains. One drawback (but still good because I know it's written to be) is the sort of near-silly - IMO - walkover of the females in each book. And yes, I totally understand why...I'm just surprised at their perpetual weakness even when united with their lifemates. It's very \"caveman\", man rules / girl obeys period. Loved or not if they want her to the male CAN...
