by Christine Feehan
Dayan is the legendary lead guitarist of the Dark Troubadours, a man whose musical gift is as lethal as it is seductive. As a Carpathian, he has spent centuries searching for the one woman who can silence the encroaching darkness of his soul. His melody is a siren call, a desperate reach for the light that only his fated lifemate can provide. When he finally encounters Corinne Wentworth, he discovers a woman whose fragile exterior hides a resilience that defies the shadows surrounding them both.
Corinne is a woman on the run, clutching dangerous secrets while being hunted by the fanatics who destroyed her past. She is the ultimate damsel in distress, yet her indomitable spirit makes her the perfect anchor for a predator who has forgotten how to feel. Their connection is instantaneous, igniting a fierce, spicy chemistry that burns through the pages. As they navigate a world of ancient threats and paranormal intensity, their bond becomes a lifeline in a gathering storm.
This installment of the iconic Dark series balances heavy emotional introspection with high-stakes action. For fans of fated mates and brooding heroes, this paranormal romance delivers a hauntingly beautiful symphony of love, danger, and ultimate surrender.

The print quality is fantastic. Exactly how I remember it as a kid. Mass-produced books have actually always been a favorite of mine. The way the pages smell, the soft fluttering of the pages as you fan through them, or just turning each page, really makes you feel that cozying up with a book vibe that we readers crave. Definitely a good quality to add to the shelves. Especially for those of us with a TBR taller than we are. Beautifully priced and excellently crafted. )

I didn’t really connect with Dayan. Other than being a musician and a poet, nothing really jumped out about him. He kept his Carpathian history away from Corinne throughout majority of the book for fear that her heart can’t handle the strain but I kept waiting for him to reveal more about himself. Corinne was pretty cool...
