Dark Blood

by Christine Feehan

About this book

Zev Hunter has spent centuries as a lethal, solitary weapon, hunting rogue Lycans with a ferocity that defines his existence. As a warrior born of both Carpathian and werewolf blood, he has always operated on the fringes, detached and dangerous. But when he awakens in the sacred, hidden caves of the ancients, his reality shatters. He finds himself under the watchful, seductive care of Branislava, a powerful Dragonseeker whose presence has haunted his dreams for lifetimes.

Their connection is far from accidental. Branislava has performed a forbidden ritual to save Zev, binding their spirits together in a forced-proximity union that neither can escape. As Zev struggles to reclaim his identity and navigate the complex politics of his own rebirth, he discovers that his purpose is shifting from mere survival to something far more monumental. Together, they must protect their kind against encroaching darkness, forging a found-family bond that challenges everything Zev thought he knew about loyalty.

Blending high-stakes urban fantasy with the intense, atmospheric romance that defines the Carpathian series, this installment delivers a gripping exploration of destiny and desire. Whether you are a long-time fan of the saga or a newcomer looking for a dark, supernatural thrill, this story of intertwined fates and blood-sworn vows is a must-read.

Dark Blood brings new life and old favorites to a beloved series

4.5 Stars Dark Blood is the end of the trilogy within Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. Zev and Branslavia's story is hands down the best of the three stories in this miniseries. I did find it to be a tad redundant which is why I gave it 4.5 stars rather than the 5 stars I've come to expect from a Carpathian novel. I love the three couples: Lev and Tatijana, Dimetri and Skylar, and Zev and Branslavia, in this group of titles. Zev's family history is a welcome surprise. Welcome in the fact...

Good, but not her best (or am I getting jaded?)

Another story full of vampires, evil mages, Carpathians, werewolves and heroic humans. \"Dark Blood\" continues to explore and explain the blend of Carpathian and werewolf blood vs. vampire and werewolf blood. Many questions are answered, bad guys are overcome and more are discovered. A fierce love story shines with Zev and Branislava within the plot of Carpathians and Lycans attempting to work together to fight nasty bad guys. For me there were some skip-worthy passages: simply too much of the...

Good book

The print quality is fantastic. Exactly how I remember it as a kid. Mass-produced books have actually always been a favorite of mine. The way the pages smell, the soft fluttering of the pages as you fan through them, or just turning each page, really makes you feel that cozying up with a book vibe that we readers crave. Definitely a good quality to add to the shelves. Especially for those of us with a TBR taller than we are. Beautifully priced and excellently crafted. )

Not as good as Dark Lycan, but better than Dark Wolf. This book was a solid three and a half to four stars to me until the last battle when it shot up to a solid five stars. I will try not to give to much of the plot away, because another review did that, which to me is just wrong, but what I will say is some had an issue with the direction they felt the author was taking the book and the series in, that I have a problem with. Why, because anyone who has been reading this series from the...
