A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

Grace is a woman on the run, seeking nothing more than anonymity and safety in the frozen wilderness of Longtooth, Alaska. She expects a quiet life, but she quickly finds herself at odds with Caleb Kinoyit, the town’s surly, abrasive bush pilot. Despite his rough exterior and constant grumpiness, Caleb possesses a magnetic pull that Grace cannot resist. As the brutal Alaskan winter sets in, their initial friction sparks a slow-burn romance that is as intense as the sub-zero temperatures outside.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends suspense with the grumpy-sunshine trope, grounding the supernatural elements in a deeply atmospheric setting. Longtooth is a town defined by its silence and hidden dangers, and as Grace’s past finally catches up to her, she discovers that the locals are guarding a life-altering secret. The shifter mythology is woven seamlessly into the narrative, turning the small-town mystery into a high-stakes fight for survival.
If you are craving a heart-melting story where primal instincts clash with human vulnerability, this is the perfect addition to your reading list. It is a compelling start to the Tooth and Claw series that will leave you desperate to uncover the rest of the pack’s secrets.

This is book 1 of the Tooth & Claw series. This story centers around Grace and Caleb. Grace comes to this out of the way town in Alaska, shrouded in mystery. She is clearly struggling and searching for a safe harbor or any joy in life. The author does a phenomenal job communicating the cold, numbness that Grace is living with daily. It defines like depression and indifference, but you can tell that even Grace is baffled by its cause. Then there is Caleb, hot headed, stubborn, and hard to read....

Cold Hearted is the first book in Heather Guerre’s Tooth & Claw series, and it’s also the first book I’ve read from this author. It definitely won’t be my last. I enjoyed this mysterious, suspenseful PNR set in Alaska. I read it for my Romanceopoly January Study Session (Read a PNR with a small town setting with a winter theme). It lived up to the small town setting and winter theme, and it’s perfect to read when it’s cold outside. I did just that since it’s been unbearable even in the...

Overall I enjoyed the story, which I read on KU, however there were some plot points that left me with unanswered questions. I would definitely read the next book in the series, and I though the main character was realistic and nuanced. I also liked the setting and world building, the writing was good and the setting/side characters were very enjoyable. My citicisms below have spoilers so fair warning if you want to skip the next part. * * * * * * *spoilers below* * * * * * There were a few...

I’ve only ready two books from Heather Guerre so far but I can already say that no one does sex quite like Heather Guerre!! It’s so hot and raw and REAL. The build up to werewolf reveal was DIVINE and SO well paced and well earned. Grace was such an interesting and dynamic character. Guerre did a fantastic job at SHOWING her growth instead of telling. Caleb was a sweet and realistic character with his own flaws and character growth. I don’t usually like werewolf romance because it can fall into...

This book was slow to me in the beginning the author uses in my opinion too long drawn out descriptions and explanations from the MFM Grace's perspective. However as you get toward the middle it picks up and gets more interesting. The ending is really good and you're rooting for their happily ever after. I don't know if there's a sequel but it's perfectly fine as a stand alone. )
