A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

Gemma is finished with the suffocating politics of her pack and the iron grip of her alpha father. Desperate for a life free from forced unions and controlling men, she flees across the country with nothing but her independence in mind. However, fate has a cruel sense of humor. Penniless and stranded, she finds herself working for Aiden, a notoriously surly and dominant alpha wolf who wants nothing to do with her—until the scent of her skin triggers a primal, uncontrollable reaction in his inner beast.
This steamy paranormal romance leans into the fan-favorite alpha-hero trope, delivering a high-stakes power dynamic that crackles with tension. Aiden is the quintessential grumpy protector, struggling to balance his cold exterior with an overwhelming urge to claim Gemma as his own. When a rival alpha encroaches on his territory and abducts her, the lines between business and survival blur, forcing Aiden to decide if he is brave enough to open his heart to a mate.
Perfect for readers who crave a quick, intense escape, this wolf-shifter novella packs an emotional punch. It is a story of reclaiming one’s voice, finding sanctuary in unexpected places, and the undeniable pull of a fated connection. Will Gemma finally stop running and accept her place by an alpha’s side, or will the shadows of her past continue to dictate her future?

This book hit a lot of high marks for me: Engaging story Hot Alpha going from growly and surly to protective mate. Female finding her way out of difficult situation with the right amount of spunk. Great length. I hate when stories go on too long and lose the plot. This book did not. Looking for more books by this author. I am truly hooked. ) One person found this helpful

This book was a quick read great for a small escape during the busy weekend. Clearly a short story or a novella, not a full novel. The story flowed decent and covered what I believe the author was conveying. The are some parts I wish got some more detail but it did not ruin the short. Due the this being a shorter read I wasn't able to connect to the characters but they were enjoyable to read. ) One person found this helpful

I liked the HEA and the slight werewolf pack changes from other offers. Gemma has been hurt and abused, but manages to escape to the one place she is safest. Aiden is fearful to let another woman in, but he can’t deny how unique Gemma is. Not a fan of the fast buildup in the book. It seems a bit forced. 18+ ) One person found this helpful

This was a very exciting read. It kept me on edge into not wanting to put the book down. I loved the main characters. I liked the strong independent woman Gemma was and how Aiden seemed at first a hard person but then we got to see who he really was. ) One person found this helpful

This was next to impossible to read. The editing is lacking, there are continuity issues that make it hard to follow, and the world-building and characterization just aren’t there at all. Throw in stilted dialogue and haphazard overuse of adverbs (He growled “lowly” to avoid his displeasure being heard, then shouted loudly in the same sentence) and this thing is a little all over the place. I applaud the author for writing a novel and like the basic idea for the plot, but the product here is...
