Burn Bright

by Patricia Briggs

About this book

Deep in the rugged mountains of Montana, the wildlings live in isolation, exiled for their own protection. These damaged werewolves are the broken souls of the pack, kept at arm’s length from the Marrok’s inner circle. But when a desperate plea for help arrives, Charles Cornick, the Marrok’s lethal enforcer, and his mate, Anna Latham, are thrust into a violent conspiracy that threatens the very foundation of their pack.

This installment of the beloved Alpha and Omega series masterfully blends high-stakes urban fantasy with the deep, emotional intimacy of a fated-mate bond. As Charles and Anna track an elusive enemy, they must confront the dark, ancient magic of the witchborn. The narrative shines through its nuanced exploration of pack dynamics, showcasing how the quiet strength of a peacemaker can be just as formidable as the blade of an assassin.

Fans of paranormal romance will find themselves instantly anchored by the powerful found-family connection that defines this series. Whether you are craving intense, fast-paced action or the slow-burn evolution of a partnership built on absolute trust, this story delivers. It is a gripping, atmospheric journey that proves why Patricia Briggs remains a titan of the genre, offering a perfect escape for any reader seeking their next supernatural obsession.

A Conspiracy in Aspen Creek for Anna and Charles Brings Action and Suspense!

March 8, 2018

Anything by this author is a cancel all appointments, ignore all chores, take the phone off the hook, and settle in for a one-sitting read. The addiction is real and well-earned. This was another fabulous outing for Charles and Anna. Burn Bright is the fifth of the Alpha & Omega series, but also the #15 of the Mercy Thompson world. Personally, I do not read the two series or think of them as separate, but rather just two sides of the same coin. And, I think it works best that way as both series...

A story to savor....

Does this happen to you? You mark your calendar for the release of one of your favorite author's books. You've already preordered it, but when it arrives, you read other stories.... You do this KNOWING the other stories won't be as good, but you wait... because once you begin, it will be over way too soon.... so you savor it. Burn Bright did not disappoint. It is filled with all of the character development and twists and turns for which Briggs is famous. The plot kept me guessing, which was...

Hello, Hello! Glad to be back in the Mercyverse with Charles and Anna again! It has been a while since Patricia Briggs gave us a new Alpha and Omega.... but better late than never, right? Burn Bright's plot is an interesting one. For once, Charles and Anna are with the pack in Aspen Creek instead of having to go somewhere else to \"fix\" a problem. Charles is in charge of the pack while Bran is out of the country. Then, a distress call comes from the mate of one of the wildings. The couple is...

I love the Patricia Briggs books

This review contains a spoiler. If you have not read the book yet, you may want to skip this because the spoiler has a big impact not only on this installment of the series but the series as whole. I love the Patricia Briggs books, and I may love the Charles and Anna series even more than the Mercy series. It's close. In this latest book, we learn the wildings have always been there lurking in the background in Aspen Creek, Montana. It's an exciting concept, and Briggs ties it in to ancient...

Another PERFECT addition to the series!

March 6, 2018

The Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite Urban Fantasy series. Unfortunately, the books in this series releases every two or three years, so I treasure the books even more than I do with other series. Charles and Anna are one of my favorite couples and I always look forward to seeing their relationship develop. These two have come a very long way, and I love that the author gives us something new every book in regards to their personalities and their abilities. I will not go...
