Rhaim the All-Beast is a monster bound by a terrifying prophecy: he is destined to die at the hands of the woman he is sworn to protect. As a cruel beast mage living in a crumbling castle, his world is turned upside down when Princess Lisane is placed into his care. She is naive, sheltered, and desperate to master the magic that will finally grant her freedom. He is the darkness to her light, a lethal protector harboring a secret that could destroy everything they are building together.
This gripping second installment of the Transformation Trilogy masterfully blends the high-stakes tension of royal duty with a visceral, dark Beauty and the Beast dynamic. As Rhaim guards Lisane, he fights a losing battle against his own desire, knowing that every moment spent teaching her brings him closer to his inevitable end. The chemistry is electric, shifting between volatile danger and a profound, reluctant love that challenges the boundaries of their roles.
If you crave a paranormal romance that leans into the intensity of forbidden attraction and high-fantasy stakes, this series is essential reading. It is a haunting, steamy, and atmospheric journey where the cost of power is measured in betrayal and blood.

Bought for the wife. She said it was a good book. First one came with the cover torn but Amazon replaced it for free. )

The second installment for Rhaim and Lisane's story was equally as thrilling and attention grabbing as the first, and the conclusion to the trilogy could not come sooner. After the attack on the castle, we get to see Lisane grow into herself, both as a person and as a mage. She becomes a little less of a damsel in distress than she was in Bend Her, and figures out a way to find her own path in the world. I loved watching her experience the world for the first time after being imprisoned by her...

Much better than the first book in the trilogy. However the cliffhanger was weird. How could she be mad at the beast when it was her father who gave her to him and what she completely forgets that he would put her back underground, which she fault so hard to stay free and not even listen to his reasoning. Iām sorry but miscommunication and misconstrued motives are the absolute worst tropes. )

This one was better than the first, but seriously, ending on a cliffhanger. šš¤£ Guess I'll have to crack open the next one. )
