A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

Sold at a brutal auction to pay her uncle's debts, Wren makes a desperate, impulsive choice: she pledges herself to the monster lurking in the shadows. She expects a nightmare, but what she finds in Tavrin, a powerful and ancient Roc, is something far more dangerous—devotion. Far from a captor, he is a protector who treats her like a long-lost treasure, filling her nights with quiet comfort and nesting instincts that promise safety.
This sizzling paranormal romance masterfully blends the dark allure of a gothic setting with the intense heat of a fated-mates connection. As the bond between them ignites, Tavrin’s primal nature takes over, shifting from a reserved guardian into a possessive alpha determined to claim his bride. The chemistry is electric, driven by a hero who falls first and hits the ground running, offering the kind of touch-her-and-die energy that fans of monster romance crave.
Beyond the spice, the story weaves a touching narrative of found family and loyalty. When Wren’s past threatens those she loves, Tavrin must decide if he is willing to tear the world apart to keep her safe. If you are looking for a standalone read that delivers feral intensity alongside a guaranteed happily-ever-after, let this Roc carry you home.

Lia is fast becoming one of my automatic go-to authors. I have enjoyed several of her stories now and they are all so very entertaining. This one was another winner. I loved seeing how the couple finally came solidly together. So wonderfully done and highly recommended. )

Nicely written, pleasant to read. A bit on the brief side, but this is exactly what is called for. Reading these books are somewhat like eating cookies, or perhaps pie. A sweet treat. )

So, rating this book is difficult. I like the author and the world of the story. I felt like the main characters had a good connection in an insta-love kind of way that left me with warm fuzzies at the end. Which is a bit off because a large part of the story was them waiting until Wren the fmc was “sure” she wanted to be with the male lead forever. Only they NEVER TALKED TO EACH OTHER. I feel like a chapter (or several)got left out of the final draft- where they talked about Tavrin’s past and...
