Kyros Vindex is a man haunted by the catastrophic price of his own devotion. Having traded his lover’s heart for a forbidden bargain with witches, he now faces a devastating reality: his quartermaster, Araceli Cross, is tethered to the malevolent spirit Ghalil. Driven by agonizing guilt and an obsessive need for redemption, Kyros is determined to break his blood pact, regardless of the carnage it might unleash.
For Eric Deumont, the nightmare of demonic possession is finally over, but the second-chance romance he envisioned with Kyros is unraveling. While Eric longs to flee the shadows of their shared past, Kyros remains fixated on a dangerous rescue mission that threatens to shatter their fragile bond. As the witch crows circle and wait for their due, the tension between the two men reaches a breaking point, forcing them to choose between their love and their survival.
This gripping ghost-filled paranormal saga plunges readers into a high-stakes race against time. As Araceli battles to reclaim her soul from Ghalil’s parasitic grip, the lines between rescuer and villain blur. Brimming with atmospheric dread and intense character conflict, this installment serves as a dark, pulse-pounding chapter in a series where every decision comes with a lethal cost.

This is a great story to read, plenty of action and drama. Great characters you will bond with, and enough mystery and unanswered questions to keep you reading as fast as you can. I truly love the bonds of loyalty and friendship expressed in this series. Looking forward to the next book. )

The ending made no since but I am sure another book will come shortly. Book was written to fast and no thought in the plot of characters. )

The race is on for Araceli but Ghalil is stronger than they thought. Kyros and Eric's relationship takes a nosedive and tension is running high between everyone. Story continues in the next book since the ending hinted at it especially with the new spirit jar that Araceli found on her new ship...I hope the next book is longer with more details in the storyline. \"I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.\" ) One person found this helpful

Ruin and Will is the second book in the An Act Of Piracy series by Tami Veldura. The book was well written and nicely edited. You do need to read the first book Blood in the Water in order to appreciate and understand what happens in the second book. And wow, so much happened in this book. So many twists and turns. Some of the questions that I had at the end of the first book were answered, but now I am left with even more questions and a cliffhanger ending that immediately made me want to read...
Love this series and the characters very entertaining. Can't wait for the next book its turning into an interesting saga with spirits and love and adventure combined! )
