This is yet another fantastic addition to Sawyer Bennett’s “Chronicles of the Stone Veil” series! Maddox, brother to Carrick & fearless Demigod, and Zora, the “New to the position” of “God of Life” (and Death), are really a dynamic, yet complex, pair. This is book 9 in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this book. In this one, we get Maddox and Zora's story. The book is even better than I expected, and I was anticipating being swept off my feet. I was so caught up in the story, that I felt like I should have a say in what happens.
