Started the first book and when I finished, I couldn't wait-I ended up buying every book in the series and reading them back to back. I can hardly wait for the next one. Love the characters and the main, Jade, is especially interesting. She's strong but also vulnerable and definitely relatable with how she loves those people who have become her family. Another good book in this great series. Let me start by saying I highly recommend reading this series in order! Following the characters growth has been so rewarding and extremely intense. I started this series on a whim and was hooked. I am not the target audience for this genre (as I am older and male) but grew up reading fantasy and found this to be a good read for those of us so inclined. I LOVE this series! It's cute, fun to read and you can't help but love the characters; I can picture everyone in the book as friends/family. I really like how the author incorporates different mythical creatures and ideas in her story line and my family is from NOLA so I really love that she includes city information, neighborhoods, and describes the scenery so well. Over all a very fun, enjoyable read. I can't wait for the next one to come out! )
