This was absolutely amazing, this series is a must read. It's fast paced, well written and the characters are great, well defined and know who they are. This is the second book , it has the same characters from the first, but you would not be lost if you haven't read the first. Custo has came back to warn Adam that someone in his group is still betraying him. Upon crossing he comes across a dancer that captivates him, and doesn't realize his crossing has let a dark entity into our world. Now...

It's been a long time since I read the first book in this series, so I was a little concerned that I might not remember the details. Interestingly enough, I don't think that really mattered since most of this book takes place in a slightly different time frame. I honestly didn't remember Custo from the first book. In this book, the second in The Shadow series, the good/bad guy fights to find his place in existence. The theme of the series is how love always seems to find a way to work out in the end. The male characters are stubborn, in control, bad boy types that are dedicated, loyal, and have good hearts. The female leads are all woman. This story wasn't quite as compelling as the first book, Shadow Bound, but it was still very good. I will be starting the next book, Shadowman immediately because I'm hooked into the overall storyline at this point. The story was well written; it moved along rather well and set me up to want more. Loved this book and the fact that the main male character Custo came back to save Adam!! Even though I believe these are supposed to be stand-alone books, I highly recommend you read the first book before this one so you can understand what's going on and who most of the repeat characters are!
