And So The Breaking Begins: Mindbreaker Duet, Book 1 (An Age of War and Prophecy 3)

There are forces greater than gods or demons at work here.
Leda Pandora, the Angel of Chaos, isn’t like other angels. She fights dirty, in ways totally unbecoming of a soldier in the Legion of Angels. She cracks jokes at the other angels, even when she should really keep her mouth shut. And she stubbornly insists on doing the right thing, even if it’s totally against the rules.
Leda’s chaotic ways have helped her win many battles, but she’s going to need more than a healthy dose of chaos this time. Powerful forces have their eyes trained on her unborn child, a magical miracle who might just become the most powerful weapon ever conceived.
To secure her daughter’s future, Leda will need to unravel schemes and unlock secrets buried deep in the past. Because ignorance is not bliss when deities play the game.
Phoenix’s Refrain is the tenth book in the Legion of Angels series.

This series is fantastic, and so many pieces have been turned over in previous books but didn’t fully fit into the puzzle. This story really helped to bring the pieces together. It wasn’t as action heavy as some of the others, but it really delve into the past of the characters and makes a lot of things make sense. It also opens up as ton of new possibilities going forward. The writing, as always, is engaging and at times makes you laugh out loud. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes...

What a great book. A lot of things are revealed. There were some repeating from previous books but it was ok. Some kinda he,led me remember what went on in the past to better understand what was happening. I liked how there were several sweet moments between Nero & Leda and Nero’s impression of her when he first met her. Makes me want to reread book 1 again. You can really feel the love they have for each other. A lot is revealed in this book and it’s a great intermittent wrap up of the large...

Revealing so much of Leda’s and her siblings’ convoluted origins, this book is flashback upon flashback. It’s filled to the brink with exposition for this amazingly developed world and so less strong on lovely core characters. Fortunately, I love this story enough to stick it out. The ending is worth it with a few great moments of action, resolution, and some characterisation for the demon deities. But I do hope the next book has more of the action, humour and joy that sets this series apart....

With the previous books, you were in a journey with Leda and Nero on how their characters have evolved and their love for each have strengthen. This book has shown us the story behind all the characters and how they relate with each other. Now that everything have cleared up, new challenges are on their way. But this time around the goals of some are now the goals of many. I am excited and eagerly waiting for the next one. )

An inherently brilliant universe to explore and have plenty of fun while doing it. These books never disappoint. Every one has singlehandly allowed me to get lost in my own mission to see what's next. I have been looking forward to the next book for some time. Can't wait. 😏 )
