This book has been on my TBR list forever. Now that EJ has written the sequel, Blood Yellow, I thought it was time to read Neon Blue. Again I have to state that I'm not usually a reader of fantasy or PNR. But if EJ is writing it, well, I'm reading it. She is that good of an author. What a really wonderful story. Full of witches, pixies, ghosts, and of course, not your average demon. Tsara is not your normal witch either. At least not what I've ever thought a witch was. She works at a fertility...

This story isn’t really like any other one I have ever read. It a lot of ways that’s good, though in a few ways bad. But overall the book kept me guessing and kept me reading. I think the most unique aspect of this book is Jou, the demon. He isn’t your classic male lead. I found myself second guessing his motives throughout the book, while somehow at the same time getting a little irritated with the heroine for being so difficult. I'd read Snowburn, and promptly fell in love with E.J. Frost, so I started this book filled with happy anticipation. I'm pleased to report that I was not disappointed in the least. Neon Blue is a tremendously good read. The characters are so well written that they come alive right from the first, and I adored Tsara Faa from the very first chapter. I loved this book. Now, I'm a sucker for a sexy demon, but usually modern witches aren't really my thing. However, this was a new, unique twist on the typical witch story, and it was very refreshing. OMG I love this book. I'm a fan of demons as love interests anyway and Neon Blue gave it to me in spades! Strong snarky heroine and no smug sexy demon. Yes please!
