Opposites attract. Gaelin and Mayra could have not been further on the spectrum of light and dark. What a wonderful story. The author breaks your heart a little in this story as is sometimes found in her writing. Everything was dark, dangerous and rounded out by delicious, steamy moments. The overarching element of not being perfect causes these couples lots of pain and is nearly life-ending in every story so far. I find myself holding my breath as they are put through their paces. Thank...

I've came across of the isle of the forgotten by scrolling and I've read all 4 of them. This one outstands all of them. Gaelin and Mayra are the antithesis and yet they compliment each other, the light and the darkness. Noone exists without the other \"her darkness did not dim his light, but neither his light penetrate her shadow. They existed in perfect balance \". They became each other's masters, but not without struggle. Biases and prejudices have to be overcome, trust issues to be settled,...

Great book. Strong characters. Engaging storyline overall. Beautiful world creating, fantastic mythos. 4.5 Stars because the final fight scene, our hero (who is supposed to be the oldest Angle still alive, a total badass) gets trapped almost immediately and has to be rescued like a pansy. I think this was to showcase the Heroine as powerful in her own right, but I think it could have been adjusted a bit to accomadate both. Still the whole rest of the book was fantastic. And even that fight...

I'm still raging even though I've read past that point. I will likely be raging for a while over the heart ache this book caused me. I love the emotional trauma and simultaneously hate it here. 😂 Truly, this series is a great read. P.S. keep a stress ball with you as you read to prevent yourself from tossing the book/device against the wall. I was tempted. )

My favorite book in this series. I adore the “forbidden love” trope and this is a really sweet treat for me. The conflict was very real and didn’t get solved within pages, which I really liked. The chemistry between the two main characters is really awesome. The ending is so bittersweet though, it brought me to tears. ) 2 people found this helpful
