A supernatural family secret. A relentless Guardian with a burning mission. A fight for survival. Halle Michaels is tough. She’s had to be. She lost her dad to a mysterious accident when she was too young to remember. But she’s seen it in her dreams, and those dreams have been making their way into her reality. The most recent involving a fiery explosion and an even hotter wannabe hero trying to save the day . . . and save Halle. Not that Halle thinks she needs saving. She doesn’t.
Aedan Jeremiah doesn’t allow emotion to cloud his judgment. This assignment is no different. He has a job to do—protect Halle Michaels—and he intends to do it no matter how difficult she makes it. But he didn’t count on Halle’s unusual abilities factoring into the equation, nor is he prepared for the effect she has on him.
When an ancient, sought-after book of secrets lands on Halle’s doorstep, Aedan knows Hell’s elite will be coming for the book, and for Halle. He also knows Halle won’t back down.
Is Halle strong enough to survive the forces of Hell? Or is she destined to walk the same path as her father before her?

Let me start right off the bat with if you are not a fan of angels and a higher power in your books this will definitely not be for you. However, if you are or you just love a good story I definitely recommend giving this one a try. Th main characters are complex and continuously evolving. And the secondary characters are exactly as they need to be. Some loyal. Some mysterious. Some evil. And some......time will tell. There are subplots I'm still unraveling and am looking forward to diving...

This is a story about a teenage girl named Halle who is very special and has no idea that she holds the fate of the world in her hands. She is protected by guardians who remain unseen and is completely unaware of the danger she currently faces. Aedan has been sent to help protect Halle and he cannot understand his feelings toward the mortal girl. This book is a very interesting tale of dreams, nightmares and the fight between good and evil. ) 2 people found this helpful

Imagine hearing voices and thinking you might be losing your mind. This is what Halle Michaels goes through everyday. Add to that the dreams she has with her deceased father and a mysterious \"chair guy\" that feel so real. Oh and did I mention that many of her dreams/nightmares are warnings and terrifying glimpses of a possible future. There are so many things that I love about this book. Endearing characters, a story that I found myself captivated by from the very first chapter and a yummy...

This was an awesome read! The characters were amazing and I loved reading and getting to know them. The storyline was written very well and a clean read, but I have many unanswered questions, which is what the author wanted, I think. Now I need to get the next book to see what happens because I am very curious!! Highly recommended. ) 2 people found this helpful

To be honest, the first 3 quarters of the book i was confused. Since the book was written in third person and it kept shifting from one person to the next without breaks or seperate chapters left me very confused. Too many characters brought in at once. Three quarters in. It started to get more interesting and it definitely left you with a cliffhanger )
