The story is intriguing, the writing is beautiful. Much better than a lot of other fantasy romance out there. I'm surprised it'd not more popular. Glad I read it. ) One person found this helpful

Guardian is a quest. A maid is taken from her nursing mother, raised by monks to carry a light to a distant land. He is one of scores of young men, raised in a levy of young men, all trained to guard the light keeper. This coming of age does not end with this book. You know ... that the editor or proofer used a spellchecker with no human rereading when errors such as 'bought' when 'bout' is needed are legion. ) One person found this helpful

I’ve read and enjoyed most of Catherine Miller’s books and this one was no exception! Her writing is beautiful, the story is unique, and the characters came alive on the pages! The romance in this series is definitely a slow burn, and I can’t wait to see the main characters get their HEA. Recommended for fans of fantasy and slow burn romance ) One person found this helpful

I love this author and I am quite picky. She is a great storyteller along the lines of Grace Draven and Elizabeth Hunter. It was very well written, and I can't wait for the next one! ) 2 people found this helpful

I loved this book. Catherine Miller is a great writer and I have read all of her books; this one is my favorite. The Guardian of the Lightkeep is so original and well-written that I couldn't put it down. When it ended I had to start reading the second novel. The novel centers around a race of people with beautiful wings, all except one. She faces a mysterious journey. The protagonist is her Guardian who must make sure she finishes her long journey, a task from which she isn't expect to return....
