Draven's Afterlife: King of Kings, Book 1

by Stephanie Hudson

About this book

Afterlife, just a place for an unhappy king to call home or soon to become a beacon of hope when a new waitress falls at his feet?

The Gothic nightclub is about to welcome a new guest, and this time it is one he can’t control. As for Dominic Draven, the king of all supernatural life, handling just one little mortal named Keira should be no problem for him…right?

Wrong!

As she is his chosen one, she is not meant to be ruled by a domineering, overbearing, arrogant boss who is determined to keep her at arm’s length. But instead, she is meant to achieve the impossible and crack the hard shell of an immortal king that is only now learning what it truly means to fall in love.

This is the story of Afterlife, only from the eyes of its king. As you will finally follow Keira’s journey all over again, only through Dominic Draven’s point of view, giving it a whole new and exciting twist on the start of this epic saga.

Great book

I loved this book as much as I have enjoyed all of the other books I've read by this author. I can't wait to read the next book. )

the book boyfriend we all want

Dominic Draven… he’s the boyfriend we all want and the beast we all need. I love his POV. He’s all grumpy, angsty in love with this human girl. Ms Hudson can be a bit verbose, however, it’s worth it. I’m so glad I stumbled in Draven’s POV books. You’ll enjoy the Afterlife Saga. Just remember the series is not a sprint. It’s a marathon. )

Grammar and spelling

July 9, 2022

Story line is great. Carries on a bit. Trying to be mysterious and just seems to be the same scenarios over and over. Same thoughts different words. The back and forth of the siblings are repetitive. Grammar is a huge issue for me. Context of words also. Example. . Rouse should be ruse..... )

Rewarding

Seeing things solely from Draven's viewpoint is rewarding. Seeing his turmoil and his struggle makes you understand how unprepared he was for Kiera )

Finally!!! But I wanted more!!!

Can't get enough of your favorite 1/2 angel, 1/2 demon? Well, here you go!! This one is from Draven's point of view for Book 1. Warning: This does get a little wordy but try to remember you're reading this from the POV of a being that is 1,000's of years old. My only gripe with this book is where it ended. I thought this would go all the way to the end of book 1, but it doesn't. You've been warned. The second 1/2 of book 1 has yet to be released as of this writing... ) 3 people found this...
