And So The Breaking Begins: Mindbreaker Duet, Book 1 (An Age of War and Prophecy 3)

When one door closes, another door opens. Or in my case, kill one monster and another comes knocking. It’s nothing new, since someone has had it out for me my whole life. I’ve learned to not only live with but expect the constant peril.
Demons attack? Must be Monday. Send hexes my way? Just another Tuesday night. Get kidnapped and held hostage by vampires? Well, that’s just a typical weekend for me.
But go after the man I love and I’ll stop at nothing to hunt you down, even if it means seeking help from an unlikely—and untrustworthy—source. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to save Lucas, risking crossing a line that can’t be uncrossed. They say there’s evil in my blood, and I’m going to show them just how dark I can go.
For Hell hath no fury like a witch out for revenge.

Amazing. Callie and Lucas are an incredible duo with grit, determination and a whole lot of passion. This book picks up where Still of Night ended and Callie is facing the ultimate challenge, finding the source of an evil curse given to Lucas. She still is learning about the powers she has and how to trust that she can tap into that strength when she needs it. Add in a former classmate with an outrageous grudge, root monsters attacking and Lucifer lurking and you have a perfect mixture for a...

The only complaint that I have with this book is that it ended. I have already preordered the next one! This series hooked me from the start and this installment did not disappoint. Callie is so strong and resilient and continues to grow as the story progresses. The love story between Callie and Lucas is always swoon worthy and you can actually feel how much they love each other. The story keeps getting better and I cannot wait for the next book! )

I have followed and loved this series. When I found out this book was longer I was super excited. The typical drama for Callie continues which is fun to read. The types were minimal this go around so good job there! However, the repetition was a bit overkill. So many times I was like you already said that, we know that, stop saying this!! It was really obvious she was Pregnant but I was hoping she was cursed. I don't see how this is all going to work out seeing as she runs into danger head...

This series, best vampire/witch series I've read in way to long. I've actually read 1-3 twice now and I cannot believe I have to wait a month (my birthday June 25 ) for the next I'm dying here. Then after that I have to wait until November. This series is better than vampire diaries so it should be a tv show. )
