PLAY IT SAFE? OR RISK IT ALL?

Samantha Day is definitely not a risk-taker. At least, not until the night she kisses her unattainable crush, and that kiss does something strange to her. Now she feels hungry all the time, but it's not for food. Her cravings are much darker than that, and far more frightening.

Only Bishop, a mysterious guy with unearthly blue eyes, seems to understand what's happening to her. He's the one chance Samantha has to stop the danger that's closing in around her. But it might mean losing everything she's ever wanted and embracing the darkness inside of her.

I loved this story! It's captivating, fresh, brilliant and fluent. I loved the characters and the story-build. I'm heading right on to the next installment and I'm definitely going to check out the author's other books. )

I hesitate to review, as I can't decide how I could possibly word my thoughts on this book, and not give away spoilers as well! Modern day unassuming college girl, with 19 year old college girl issues: classes, boys, best friend drama, family, etc. Meandering through a story of angels vs. demons and all the bad things in-between, I couldn't help but be engaged, although the book moves somewhat slowly. Allowing for the sequels, no doubt. Entangled in the well built story line involving...

Good story line but I find the main character a bit annoying and hard to get into, especially in the beginning ) 3 people found this helpful

Disappointing

I was hoping for more from this book. The writing is bland, the characters are pretty flat (throughout the story none of them really stuck out in any memorable way) and FMC is annoying and downright insufferable at times. I can’t really say much about the MMC because his character pretty much boiled down to broody angel dude who’s confused half the time. The side characters are forgettable. Seriously, Carly or any other minor characters could have just disappeared in the middle of the book and...
