This is mostly a fantasy novel, with just a touch of romance thrown in the mix. Starts out with a very naive FMC being taken advantage of and betrayed. She's slowly learning a bit more about the world, and also starting to trust again )

I love that Lucifer is the love interest! He’s also not 100% the worst person in this book! He is more of a good guy, he could be a little more bad, you see glimpses of it so I am waiting for when he really loses it. I think it will be awesome. I am excited to see where this story goes. It is a slow burn but the story is really gripping. You will fall in love with the characters and really really hate the antagonist. Big kudos to the author. This is a great read! I actually loved the concept and even the irony of Hell being the better place over the coldness of Heaven. The characters were intriguing and I loved Lucifer. My man issue with the book was that I couldn't connect with any of them. Everything was too rushed to enjoy them getting to know one another. The meet cute type discussions were wrapped up in a summarized paragraph. She basically only interacted with Russ and Bernard a handful of times and now has this connection. The most character...

The cliffhanger is killing me... and as soon as this review is done I’m starting book 2! I think I’m in love with the Devil in this book.... and the three shifters, they’re amazing and I can’t wait to find out more about them. Lili is sweet but fierce, and I have a feeling she’s only going to get better with time. The narration of this book took me a minute to get used to, but it does not take away from the book itself. I felt like I could see things exactly the way the author described them...
