They say it’s better to deal with the devil you know—too bad the angel forgot they were married.
Ivy waited over twenty years to be reunited with her wife. She’s not about to let a little thing like amnesia stop her.
Forced to possess the body of an unwilling host, Ivy lived in silence for two decades, powerless and desperate to find Emma—the angel she was torn from when the world ended. Now, the demon is free, and she has one goal: find her wife.
With her former host’s help, Ivy tracks her wayward angel to a small town.
There are just two small problems: Emma doesn’t remember Ivy at all. And she has a line of admirers half a mile long.
With no idea if Emma will ever recall their love, Ivy is about to learn that getting a second chance isn’t as easy as picking up where they left off.

Loved this book. Yes, it started a little slow for me, but once it hit? I was feral. Could not put it down. The spice was *chef’s kiss* and that one scene? Whew. Dante, that imagination of yours is creative (wink wink). Also, if there’s another book in this series and a certain chew toy is involved… I swear, if anything happens to them, I will riot. That character was everything, and the absolute silliness they brought to the story made it even better. )

This book was so good! I loved the set up of 2 chapters for one character then switching to one chapter for another POV. It allowed for more story-telling without the chapters feeling rushed. Honestly had no idea where Coebin's character was gonna go, and I wish we got a little bit more background after the reveal. Great dynamics, in love with the protective spouse trope! )

This book was just as good, if not better, than the original one! All Ivy desires on this earth is Emma, and Emma has completely forgotten her existence. I was captivated by this story as quickly as I could turn on my Kindle. Dante, you did an excellent job, and now, please give us a third book, if possible! )

This is a raw, high-stakes urban fantasy romance that serves as the second installment in the After the Breaking series. Following the events of the first book, this sequel shifts the focus to a story of lost time, forgotten vows, and the desperate search for a second chance in a world that has already ended. The story centers on Ivy, a demon who has spent twenty grueling years trapped inside an unwilling human host, forced into silence while the world collapsed around her. Her only motivation...

This book grabbed me right away and never let go. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did the first in the series, but it ended up being incredible! I will say that you should definitely read the first book before diving into this one because it will be much easier to understand with the full backstory. Also, it’s just amazing. The world-building is one of my favorites here, but the characters are on another level. A demon desperately searching for her angel wife after twenty years...
