In a world where divine beings and mortals coexist, Azreal, the formidable angel of death, finds himself at a crossroads of duty and desire. Tasked with delivering divine justice and collecting the souls of the marked, Azreal has always been bound by his celestial obligations. However, as his chains begin to loosen, he experiences the stirring of free will for the first time. This newfound autonomy leads him to discover an unexpected and profound connection with Alice, a mortal woman whose compassion and courage captivated him. The proposal of their love raises questions that challenge the celestial order; Can Alice accept Azreal's true nature with all of its supernatural responsibilities and burdens? and more pressingly, will the Gods, who have long dictated the course of angels and their fates, allow such a union to blossom? As Azreal grapples with these dilemmas, he must navigate the trials of love and judgment, discovering whether love can indeed transcend the boundaries of the divine and the mortal realms.

I am looking forward to reading more in this series. The pacing was quick and suitable for all short novella. Can't wait to read the rest of the avenging Angel series. )

This is a super quick listen. The performances are good but I just didn’t connect with the characters. I am curious about the rest of the series though😊 )

This book feels like the outline of a great story, but missing all the flourish of a writer. It's very short and blunt, with no expansion. The timing of the book is hard to grasp - I'm not sure if it was supposed to have happened over a month or a weekend, but it was very fast paced. The world building needs some work, but it has the bearings of a great...
