Angel's Flight (Legion of Angels Book 8)

by Ella Summers

About this book

The old saying is true. Knowledge really is power, especially when angels and gods play the game.

The original Immortals, masters of magic, once reigned over every world in the known universe—until they suddenly vanished. The gods and demons have been fighting over the remains of their fractured empire ever since.

Millennia later, new angel Leda, a soldier in the gods’ army, is recuperating from her transformation. Her recovery is cut short, however, when a curse strikes New York City, a spell targeted directly at the Legion of Angels.

Even as the Legion’s soldiers succumb to wrath, jealousy, and fear, the beasts on the plains of monsters are growing in numbers and power. And the longer Leda and her archangel lover Nero investigate these phenomena, the closer they come to the ancient secret that destroyed the Immortals—and that now threatens to tear the Earth apart.

Angel’s Flight is the eighth book in the Legion of Angels series.

The Legion of Angels series: 1. Vampire's Kiss 2. Witch's Cauldron 3. Siren's Song 4. Dragon's Storm 5. Shifter’s Shadow 6. Psychic’s Spell 7. Fairy’s Touch 8. Angel’s Flight 9. Ghost’s Whisper 10. Phoenix's Refrain 11. Demon's Mark 12. Gods' Battleground 13. Leda's Log

Harry Potter for adults - with more fever and fight than flight

Hooray, Leda is back! Discovering the next Legion book is out made my day. Happily, this book lives up to the brilliant series, and may be even better than the last. The gang is back together, returning after their absences in earlier books, with snark and fun. Leda is as great and insubordinate as ever, now catapulted into being a newbie angel/demigod, struggling to fly straight and to avoid being played. Her straight angel counterparts make Leda’s most un-angelic nature even funnier. Make the...

This series just gets better and better

Ok so we find out lots of secrets in this book. Really finding this out makes you want to reread book one again to dissect how Leda and Nero met. Of course Faris tries to manipulate Leda(again). There is a reunion of sorts of missing family members. And we finally get to know who really is behind all of the trouble and chaos happening on Earth. And no it’s not Pandora. She is chaos she doesn’t cause chaos ( there is a difference). Anyway, this series is really good (stay up all night reading...

I am enjoying this series, and since it’s finished, I can binge the entire thing in a week. This one didn’t quite live up to the previous installments, but it added well to the meta plot. )

What a game changer

The book picks right up where it left off. Those who doubted Nero, shouldn't have. He is who we thought he was. That said, what he DOES have to say has very big implications that give you a hint to the rest of the book. Nero and Leda are devoted to each other and will always act accordingly In this book we get to see Leda back with her friends after being separated last book and their interactions and jokes are as wonderful as ever. Nero gives Leda a gift for when he is away from her that adds...

Amazing!

Each and every book is exciting, dangerous, funny and romantic. No boring chapters telling you about the previous book. These books are fine individually but fantastic as a series. These are the ones you won't want to put down, but when you really need to get some sleep you will, but will rush right back to it as soon as you possibly can! I don't know what I'm going to do when the series is done!! Going to hard to get anything to read that will do the job Ella Summers can do with her magic pen....
