This book kept me engaged page after page. It is fast paced, but easy to read. It was humorous throughout, but I also enjoyed the Roman history aspects. I especially loved the character of Buford. He is definitely different than any vampire I’ve read about before. The main character grew on me. She wasn’t warm and fuzzy but very practical and relatable. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a new series. )

This book is cool. A very original take on Vampires that I have not read before. I really like the relationship between the spunky and confident main character and her mentally challenged adopted vampire dependent. It's a really interesting take and more realistic for sure because she works a regular job and there is no attempt to overly glamourize her life just because she's a vampire and vampires are usually “sexy”. Plus I really liked the whole backstory of her life before becoming undead. I...

This book far exceeded my expectations. The only difficulty I had with it was that I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next. )
