Welcome to the coziest house on the block―where misfits become family, magic lingers in the walls, and healing comes in the most unexpected forms.
Iris Collins doesn't believe in plans. As a self-declared chaos bunny with a track record of unfinished dreams, she's never been the reliable one in the family. But when she inherits a quaint purple Victorian in the quirky town of St. Claire, she seizes the chance to start over―on her terms.
Her grand idea? Turn the rambling house into a haven for anyone who's ever felt like they didn't quite belong. And maybe even a mysterious man from Iris's past who seems too good to be true.
What begins as a leap of faith quickly becomes something extraordinary: a chosen family built on kindness, second chances, and a little bit of everyday magic.
Perfect for fans of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and Payback's a Witch, this is a heartwarming standalone from Ann Aguirre's beloved Fix-It Witches universe.
If you've ever longed for a place to call home, this purple house is waiting for you.

This book felt like a warm hug. It was funny, sweet, and had just enough fantasy elements to pique my interest. Iris is entirely relatable, flawed, and lovable. The romance was sweet and pretty clean which I liked. I loved that it was set in the modern world, but had (some) magic characters. It was interesting to see society's response to them and how the magic applied to a world with technology. My only regret is that this isn't a series (yet). Highly reccomend! ) 4 people found this helpful

I absolutely loved this book. The characters, the plot, the writing style!!! It was amazing. I really enjoyed the aspect of Iris being independent while trying to figure out her financial struggles. I loved how she was just a light to all the people she met and brought a lot of happiness along the way. Eli is such a cute man. I loved how he had a crush on Iris for years and tried to work up the courage to thank her for helping him back in school. I enjoyed the paranormal aspect of the story and...

I enjoyed this story, and was compelled to continue reading. The characters are wonderful and sincerely written. I loved the found family of “misfits” & genuinely cared about them as I read. However, I’m not sure if the ebook format is different from the published version, but most chapters started with characters name not capitalized. And in quite a few chapters there were POV’s switches that were a tad bit confusing and I was forced to reread so that I could make sense of them—which in turn...

I read romance because I enjoy reading about people falling in love. Although the only romantic love was between the main characters, this was a book about six people growing to love each other. It was wholesome and heartwarming, and I wish it wasn't over yet. I almost didn't read this book because another reviewer complained that the point of vote switched with no reason, but that was not the case. The author put an obvious vertical space in to delineate a POV change. Maybe that person's...
