O’Malley is a consummate storyteller. I hesitated writing this because I wasn’t sure how I could put into words the joy her books bring me. When a new title is released, I purposely put off reading it because I know it will end. Song of the Fae is my hurricane Ian book—I had to force myself to put it down & work from home, but don’t tell anyone I stopped working early just so I could read. When I read the prologue I almost didn’t read the book as I felt it wa full of violence. The book wasn’t. Imogen had a horrible childhood and thrown out by her mother at 16 and she never knew her father.
