All's Fair in Love and Blood

Elara is a witch who specializes in crafting joy-infused magic, but her latest assignment is anything but cheerful. To secure a fragile peace treaty between their people, she has been arranged to marry the stoic vampire king. The shock of the century arrives when she realizes her new husband is none other than Kieran, the mysterious man who stole her heart at a magical festival six years ago before vanishing into the night.
Now, Kieran is a grumpy ruler presiding over a kingdom that has entirely forgotten how to smile. As they navigate the icy politics of the vampire courts, the duo must convince a skeptical, high-stakes audience that their marriage is legitimate. With only thirty days to prove their bond, the slow-burn tension between them begins to ignite. What started as a political contract quickly transforms into a second-chance romance where buried secrets and past desires threaten to shatter their carefully constructed defenses.
Blending paranormal romance with a touch of whimsy, this story features a delightful cast including a diva ghost and a fire-prone drake. If you love a touch-her-and-die hero and the classic contrast of a sunshine witch melting a brooding vampire king, this magical union is your perfect next read.

What a delightful romance that I’m kicking myself for taking so long to finish. For some reason I thought it was going to be a stuffy old regency romance. I knew it was an Ava Ross romance so I should have known better! Cyrene and Kieran were absolutely adorable. She was hilarious, full of light and laughter while he was kind of dark and stodgy. But, their romance gave me all the feels and it was well worth the read. I loved it and am looking forward to the next book. )

Sweet story about 2nd chances when a meddling Grandmother intervened to arrange a wedding to bring 2 hearts back together. The story was well written, with an even flow, some steam, some magic, a drake familiar, low to med angst, and a HEA. There was a few times the magic felt over the top into YA but overall a sweet cozy read. )

Pure joy to read. Greatly woven story, interesting characters. Felt true even if the story unfolds in a magical world. )

I picked this after finishing a loved but darker series. It was just what I needed! If you’re looking for a meddling grandmother, joy witch with determination, and a romantic but lonely vampire, look no more. If you need something to give you a lift and be light enough to handle, then I offer you this book. Enjoy. )

Some interesting twists and turns. They made a great, powerful couple. Loved the dance and the reveal. It was very inspiring. )
