This was a great series. It evoked emotions from happy to sad & a lot in between. The characters were plenty some like the queen showed you what you don't want, but then others like Annika (the leading lady) show you what to strive for. This was so well written that I could easily visualize & felt like I was a part of the story. I really hope there is a spin-off series that comes from this series. This is the series that made me fall in love with Michelle and her writings. I was ISO of a book and this was an Amazon recommendation. I thought why not and I was blown away. Her world building and character creations are tops for me. I love Annika and Jacen, and all the others that came after. I devoured this in a matter of days. This series is brilliant, the only reason I gave it a 4 is that it really needs a good proofread for typo errors. Loved the characters, how they evolved and grew throughout the series, even the worst of them had some vulnerabilities about them that made you like them just a little bit. It is a series full of unexpected twists and turns that take you on a rollercoaster ride, spitting you out at the end, and leaving you breathless and excited to go again! I bought the 1st book in the next series...

I really enjoyed this complete series!! It was filled with witches and magic, vampires - both good and evil, rage and compassion, fighting and forgiveness. )
