A vampire and a scientist’s fates are passionately entwined in a race against time in this thrilling romance in t he 1 New York Times bestselling “utterly absorbing and deliciously erotic” (Angela Knight, New York Times bestselling author) Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
In the venerable history of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, only one male has ever been expelled—but Murhder’s insanity gave the Brothers no choice. Haunted by visions of a female he could not save, he nonetheless returns to Caldwell on a mission to right the wrong that ruined him. However, he is not prepared for what he must face in his quest for redemption.
Dr. Sarah Watkins, researcher at a biomedical firm, is struggling with the loss of her fellow scientist fiancé. When the FBI starts asking about his death, she questions what really happened and soon learns the terrible truth: Her firm is conducting inhumane experiments in secret and the man she thought she knew and loved was involved in the torture.
As Murhder and Sarah’s destinies become irrevocably entwined, desire ignites between them. But can they forge a future that spans the divide separating the two species? And as a new foe emerges in the war against the vampires, will Murhder return to his Brothers...or resume his lonely existence forevermore?

I really enjoyed this addition to the BDB series. A story of love and redemption on many levels! But to JR Ward, and many other authors, VEINS DO NOT PULSE, as stated in this , and plenty of other's books. Arteries pulse! And to JR Ward in this book, the jugular vein does NOT supply blood to the brain! The carotid artery does! With your background, you should know this, and it should have been corrected during the editing process. Other than that.... This a great story, full of action,...

The Savior was absolutely stellar. Gripping, exciting, intense, and emotional! It was everything I've come to love about the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and so much more. 6 stars! I loved Murhder, he was fantastic! Learning about him, experiencing his pain and torment from the past, and how he was feeling in the present, all the emotion in him, it was incredibly well done. I loved watching him grow and heal, he went through such a transformation, it was beautiful. I loved Sarah too! I loved...

Great story about Muhrder and Sarah! As usual J.R. Ward’s writing is emotional and visceral. She will have you laughing, crying and on the edge of your seat all at the same time. She takes seemingly disparate multiple views and characters and weaves them into a whole without letting the story devolve into confusing choppiness. Well worth the read though the book is long (over 500 pages) the story engrosses so you don’t even notice. ) One person found this helpful

Murdher was expelled from the Black Dagger Brotherhood 20 years ago. Unknown to the Brotherhood, he had attempted to save Xhex from her Sympath family before he (or anyone else) knew she was Sympath herself. The family had tortured him into madness that has lasted the two decades. This madness was also contributed to by his inability to save a pregnant female trapped in a laboratory where she was being tortured. Now she has contacted him with a plea to save her son and Murdher must return to...
