The Savior

by J.R. Ward

About this book

Exiled from the Black Dagger Brotherhood for a madness he could not control, Murhder has spent years haunted by the ghost of a female he failed to protect. Now, the outcast vampire returns to the shadows of Caldwell on a desperate quest for redemption. His path collides with Dr. Sarah Watkins, a brilliant scientist reeling from the suspicious death of her fiancé. As Sarah uncovers the horrifying truth behind her firm’s illicit experiments, she realizes the man she loved was a monster, leaving her vulnerable and exposed in a world she never knew existed.

This gripping urban fantasy delivers a masterclass in emotional stakes, blending high-octane danger with the intense, slow-burn passion that defines the series. Murhder and Sarah are two broken souls tethered by fate, navigating a treacherous landscape where their growing desire could be their ultimate salvation or their undoing.

With the perfect execution of second-chance romance and the gritty allure of found-family dynamics, the story explores the heavy price of loyalty and the courage required to start over. For those craving a dark, erotic, and deeply atmospheric paranormal romance, this journey of healing and heroism is an unmissable addition to the legendary Brotherhood saga.

Loved it, for the second time!

I really enjoyed this addition to the BDB series. A story of love and redemption on many levels! But to JR Ward, and many other authors, VEINS DO NOT PULSE, as stated in this , and plenty of other's books. Arteries pulse! And to JR Ward in this book, the jugular vein does NOT supply blood to the brain! The carotid artery does! With your background, you should know this, and it should have been corrected during the editing process. Other than that.... This a great story, full of action,...

Beautiful Read

Great story about Muhrder and Sarah! As usual J.R. Ward’s writing is emotional and visceral. She will have you laughing, crying and on the edge of your seat all at the same time. She takes seemingly disparate multiple views and characters and weaves them into a whole without letting the story devolve into confusing choppiness. Well worth the read though the book is long (over 500 pages) the story engrosses so you don’t even notice. ) One person found this helpful

Hope you love it as much as I did

Murdher was expelled from the Black Dagger Brotherhood 20 years ago. Unknown to the Brotherhood, he had attempted to save Xhex from her Sympath family before he (or anyone else) knew she was Sympath herself. The family had tortured him into madness that has lasted the two decades. This madness was also contributed to by his inability to save a pregnant female trapped in a laboratory where she was being tortured. Now she has contacted him with a plea to save her son and Murdher must return to...
