Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

The first book in The Binding Chronicles, Tethered is a darkly seductive romantasy for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses and The Serpent and the Wings of Night, blending forbidden love, dangerous magic and a bond that defies fate.
What could be worse than an arranged marriage to a vampire prince?
When Luna is sold into marriage to the vampire Prince of Darkness, she expects cruelty, not temptation. Prince Sebastian was made to obey his queen, even if that means binding himself to a mortal he doesn't want and burying every trace of the humanity he lost centuries ago. But the moment their blood mingles during the Binding Ceremony, something ancient and forbidden ignites between them.
Now bound by a magic neither understands and incapable of going more than thirty feet apart, Luna and Sebastian are trapped in each other’s orbit—tethered but unwilling to surrender. As political schemes twist into betrayal and war brews on the horizon, desire becomes their greatest danger. Loving each other could cost them their crowns, their kingdoms and their lives.
Steeped in dark magic, aching passion and impossible choices, Tethered is a sweeping gothic romantasy about two enemies bound by fate and undone by love.

Reading \"Tethered\" by Elayna R. Gallea was an immersive journey into a meticulously crafted world where the lines between duty, magic, and love blur. What initially seemed to be a tale of an archetypical arranged marriage quickly unfolded into a rich narrative, filled with unexpected twists and deeply rooted in emotional truths and magical realism. From the outset, the premise intrigued me—what could indeed be worse than being sold into marriage with a vampire prince? Yet, Gallea masterfully...

I really wanted to love this book, but it was lacking real depth. It was a great surface story. Great plot, characters, and mystery, but it all skimmed the surface. The main characters' feelings just changed, but there was no episode or reason why. If the binding was the reason, that is fine, but we needed to be shown that. The FMC is brilliant, but let's her husband starve for over a month? Where was the reason? Scared, disgusted, angry? She is so inquisitive, but not with this? She can't...

The plot seemed interesting and enjoyable. Enjoyed the dark brooding shadow daddy vampire but struggled with the female lead. She was just to out of it. With everything going on around her in the vampire world she was to far removed and oblivious. ) 2 people found this helpful

Little to No Spoilers: Right away, you feel for Luna as she is arranged to marry the Dark Prince himself, Sebastian. She is terrified of leaving home and going to live in Castle Sanguis. Who wouldn't be? Everyone knows how dangerous vampires are. And she isn't marrying just any vampire. Sebastian is the queen's favorite vampire. \"Son of her blood\" as she calls him. He is handsome and very powerful and is sure to get everyone's heart thumping. While Luna might seem like a meek girl; she is...
