I read book one of this series quite a while ago, and I’m not sure WHY I waited so long to pick up book two!! This book had me in an absolute CHOKEHOLD. I literally could not shut up about it and told everyone I knew that they needed to read it! We meet Tower, the heir to the du Sang vampire clan; a thief whose powers don’t quite work right. Can I just say that the spice was so much better than expected! These two were so cute and had such a fire between them! I really enjoyed watching these two grow and connect. I love me some fated mates!! I will say that, yet again, I wished there was more relationship development. I feel like the epiphany for feelings didn't happen in a way that jived with the rest of the book. Overall, this was a fun and fast-paced read, with a good helping of spice on the side. )

This book was a ride! Tower is a beautiful vampire struggling to come fully into his powers. His narcissistic uncle and awful family use him and keeps him imprisoned regularly for long periods of time - (where the rapunzel part comes in) to do his bidding with the promise that when he comes into his own powers he can take over his rightful place as vampire ruler. This one, very interesting. I could do without the cigar smoking as that isn’t something attractive to me, but it sort of went with the character profile of fetish life style, a running theme in these stories. I was living for the descriptions of the gargoyles outfits tho, I want to get into that style of dressing. I also like that he was marked with some age, salt and peppered hair, most MM romance books show everyone as perpetually young. I loved the size difference and power play dynamic...

I loved, loved this one!!! I really enjoyed the play on the Rapunzel retelling. Vampires, Werewolves, Gargoyles and Bears in that order are my favorite shifters but in this story I loved this world.
