by Christine Feehan
Geno Ferraro, the formidable head of the New York branch of the Shadow Riders, thrives in the darkness, protecting his famiglia with an iron grip. When his parents fall victim to a brutal string of murders, his world fractures. Driven by grief and a thirst for vengeance, he sets his sights on a mysterious assassin, only to find himself ensnared in a web far more dangerous than he anticipated.
Amaranthe Aubert is a dancer with a spine of steel and a secret that could destroy her. Held captive by the ruthless Geno, she refuses to break under pressure, even as he uses his shadowy powers to strip away her defenses. What begins as a lethal interrogation quickly shifts into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, where their undeniable attraction threatens to consume them both.
This gripping entry in the Shadow Riders series masterfully blends urban fantasy with the intense, atmospheric world of dark romance. Feehan delivers a slow-burn tension that crackles with every encounter, proving once again why the Ferraro family remains a fan favorite. For readers who crave paranormal romance filled with explosive chemistry, lethal secrets, and shadows that breathe, this is the ultimate must-read to add to your collection.

This is my favorite Christine Feehan series, and this one doesn't disappoint. Even though it's about the New York branch of the Ferraro Family, it includes Stefano and some of the other brothers. And Francesca. She was a powerhouse in this story, and she really showed her own strength, and the strength of all the Ferraro women. There is a rogue family of shadow riders out to exterminate all shadow riders, and they make the mistake of coming to New York, killing the parents of Geno Ferraro and...

This author returns to her compelling, action-packed sweet romance best with this novel. I’m not sure if this was written as a response to some of the backlash from the recent tendency towards ultra-dark, ultra-violent, dark sexuality in romance that has been a feature of this author’s previous books. But this was the antithesis of that. Yes, this is still a somewhat dark story and certainly content warnings must be flagged for sexual abuse and paedophilia but they are off page and part of the...

This is the third time I have read this series and will not be the last. The Ferraro family is so fun to follow in their adventures. I hope & beg that this book is not the last in the series. Geno’s and Amara’s story is one of a man who will protect his family at any cost. Also it spotlights all of the Ferraro cousins who come to help him deal with a plot to kill all shadow riders. Please Ms Feehan, don’t end this series here! There are so many great characters left hanging that need their...

An interesting and very different Shadow Rider story. All in all, I quite enjoyed this one. The story is based in the New York cousins' territory. It focuses on why someone is out to kill Geno, head of the NY family and his cousin Stefano, head of the Chicago family, coming on the heels of the murder of Geno's parents. There is a dark secret that must be uncovered before the Ferraro families can find the killers. We also get to see all the branches of the Ferraro family come together to protect...
