Raised in Fire: Demon Days, Vampire Nights World, Book 2

by K.F. Breene

About this book

Reagan Somerset thought she had seen the worst of the supernatural underworld, but a fresh string of brutal killings in Seattle proves that her life is only getting more complicated. Called in to assist with the investigation, she quickly uncovers a deadly conspiracy; the local office is being silenced by the corrupt Mages Guild, an institution desperate to keep the truth buried. As Reagan delves deeper into the shadows, she realizes she is being hunted not just by local threats, but by powerful demons who have caught wind of her unique, dangerous magic.

This gripping second installment in the Demon Days, Vampire Nights world masterfully blends dark romance with high-stakes urban fantasy. As the web of intrigue tightens, Reagan must rely on the enigmatic and possessive elder vampire, Darius, to survive. Their volatile dynamic adds a delicious layer of tension to a plot already thick with political maneuvering and supernatural warfare.

For fans of paranormal romance, this story is an addictive descent into a world of vampire courts and hidden agendas. With the stakes higher than ever, Reagan is forced to embrace her power or risk being consumed by the very darkness she fights. Prepare to be hooked by this relentless, action-packed ride.

What a great book and so intriguing. Thanks for such great writing and interesting insights into the magical universe that just swallows you down the rabbit hole of intrigue. With the tools of magic and fantasy twisted together it makes a fantastic read. You will fall in love with the characters in this series as they are so powerful, fascinating, unique, beautiful and unexpectedly funny in their own ways that you are easily captured by their brilliance and ability to almost make them feel...

Great second outing for Reagan

May 19, 2020

Book two in the series was definitely an enjoyable ride. I really enjoyed the book. Things I Liked: I really liked the pacing of this book, I felt like the plot was interesting and kept my attention and that there weren’t any lulls in it. I mostly really enjoyed the character development in this book. There was not nearly as much world building in this book, only what was necessary to propel the storyline forward. I continued to enjoy Raegan, she’s still very sassy and funny and is a really...

Loved it

Another great read in the series. Very intense at times. I love Reagan. Everything about the character makes you want to keep reading without stopping except to eat every once in awhile. I now like Darius. Their relationship is slow, interesting, and steamy. I love that the author has gone slowly because it makes it that much more exciting and the storyline is so full of action and intrigue, the story blends well with the romance. We get a fantastic story that isn't overtaken by the building...

Too bad that's BORING

May 20, 2017

SPOILER ALERT: There will be spoilers from the first book. Ye have been warned. Reagan finally got the (forged) legal papers she always wanted and now has a desk job. Too bad that's BORING. But when the aswang shows up in NOLA, Reagan gets to have some more excitement, followed by a request to help out in Seattle. Agnon has been sent out by Reagan's father to determine if Reagan is his daughter. There are some tests he needs performed before he is willing to bring her to his master's attention...

A Great Sequel

March 2, 2019

Raised In Fire was an excellent continuation to Reagan's story. She stayed just as strong, stubborn, kicka**, and hilarious as she was in the first book. In this book we see another threat to her and her secret. Everyone pitches in to make sure that threat is no longer, and they all go on one hell of an adventure to ensure this. I really liked the progression of their relationship between Reagan and Darius. I look forward to seeing what happens for them in the final book. Vlad made an...
