Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology
Ali Hazelwood
by Chandelle La
A woman with a haunted past.
A prince who was destroyed by it.
The fight for survival that could ruin everything they have left.
My life never truly felt like mine. It was like driving a rental car, mine on loan for now but never to belong to me. Never intended for me.
Now I knew why.
It was all a lie.
The moment that knight dragged me through The Veil into the realm of Terrea everything changed. This world is nothing like home, it’s like I’ve stepped into a fantasy and traveled back in time. The person I was and the life I lived are gone. Lost. That Veil is not reopening. I’m stuck here…Forever.
They insist I’m their lost vampire queen who has been brought back to make them whole again. But I don’t know how to rebuild a broken kingdom or why the vampires are dying. I don’t remember a past life or any sacrificial rituals they claim I did. I’m just an ER nurse from Los Angeles and I’m in way over my head. All I want is to get back to Earth and find my sister, the only person who ever meant anything to me.
Now the sacred Priestess demands I marry the heir to the throne and rule by his side. But Prince Varan is a cold, snarling, gorgeous nightmare who’d rather throw me into the pits of a volcano than even speak to me. No matter how cruel he is to me, I can’t help but be drawn to him. To need him. But trying to get through his walls might be harder than saving the kingdom from death.
In the end, Prince Varan will either kill me or break my heart into pieces…and I’m not sure which is worse.

This is the series that brought me back to reading, and the fantasy world. I absolutely love this series. Eight stories by eight different authors that all tie together in an amazing way. It is stated that these stories can be read in any order, there is a suggested order to read the stories. This is suggested since there is a tie in from one story into the next story. Rhodelia works too much and doesn’t know how to relax. So when she finally decides to accept the girls weekend idea from her...

What a wild ride! This book had a bit of everything and there certainly wasn’t a dull moment to be found. I loved this new world and all the different kingdoms and courts. I also really enjoyed the characters and their banter. It was full of tension and hate/love. (Trust me it’s worth it in the end) Some tropes found here: - fish out of water - amnesia - second chances - hate/love - enemies to lovers vibes - found family - quests - save each other - strong leads - royalty - bits of steam ) 2...

I very rarely give 5 stars, but this book earned it. Great plot, world building, believable and relatable characters, and plenty of spice. a bit dark but not overly so, the conflict was enough to keep me wanting to see the resolution, but not enough that I wanted to stop reading. I've been in a rh kick lately, but I didn't even mind that there was only one mc. Great hea too . Thanks for the great read. ) One person found this helpful

Nice light read, fast paced or maybe just a lack of a deeper meaning to the story. Overall fun read born from a good idea ) 2 people found this helpful

I loved this new world that Chandelle and these other amazing authors created and can’t wait to read the other stories! This book was magnificent, great story and character development. Rhode was hilarious but also extremely relatable which makes you bond with her in this book. I definitely experienced a love/hate relationship with Valan. Definitely swoon worthy but he irked me with his treatment of Rhode at times. Valan came off a little immature with his inability to process and express his...
