Paranormal Romance with an Adventure and an Adorable Hero

November 2, 2015

\"He beseeched with those eyes, and she realized he hungered for an end. He wanted the death blow she'd come to his decrepit castle to deliver.\" FINAL DECISION: Amusing and adventurous, this book is the story of two people who have been alone for a long time. I especially loved how Sebastian is a tough, strong alpha hero but also sweet and a bit innocent around women. THE STORY: Sebastian Wroth is a reluctant vampire. Turned against his will by his older brothers, Sebastian has spent three...

This book hooked me on the series!

August 15, 2014

Here's the book that hooked me on this series. It had depth that the novella, The Warlord Wants Forever necessarily lacked and the characters are FANTASTIC - without any of the 'coming into her own' of the heroine like in A Hunger Like No Other. It also included everything I love about the world, and as an added bonus: the Talisman's Hie - an Amazing Race type event, on supernatural steroids. Kaderin hasn't felt a thing, not the sorrow that was tearing her apart, not joy, hate, love,...

A Riveting Adventure with an Underrated Hero

April 30, 2024

\"No Rest for the Wicked\" by Kresley Cole is a captivating journey through a world of magic, danger, and unyielding desire. Set in the richly imagined universe of the Immortals After Dark series, this installment follows the story of Sebastian Wroth, a vampire haunted by his past, and Kaderin the Cold Hearted, a fierce Valkyrie determined to win a deadly competition. One of the standout elements of this book is its thrilling adventure, which takes readers on a rollercoaster ride of twists and...

Better than the first!

October 9, 2015

4.5/5 Honestly I felt this book was even better than #1. Sebastian was so much easier to accept and had a greater depth than I was expecting. I sympathized with him and also loved Kaderin as she wasn’t like other heroines. She took hard to get to a whole new level and not because she was playing games. The internal battle she fought with herself and the difficult choice she had to make at the end made her character such a vibrant and fun one to read. So the break down is thus, Kaderin can’t...

I wish the wicked WOULD rest!

August 29, 2009

This is about a 3 1/2 star book. I'm disappointed because I loved the first one and had high hopes for this one. It started out great. Intense, lots of chemistry, the brooding, tortured, and ultra-sexy hero, etc. But somewhere along the way KC lost it! For me, the reason for this lay in her heroine. I couldn't like her! I really wanted to, but after pages and pages of over-the-top mean and cruel behavior, not to mention utter selfishness, I just couldn't get behind her at all! I kept expecting...
