I was pleasantly surprised with how good this book was. Once Frey is awoken from his stony slumber, his journey with Anna begins. However, their love story isn’t easy, as they face many trials from the complexities of breaking a curse, to the simplicities of finding balance in their relationship. My only hang-ups with the book that kept it from being a 4 star were: I felt that I felt that Anna’s insecurities from her toxic relationship with her mother were overplayed & the the final battle...

This story was definitely an interesting one. I enjoyed reading the first one in the series, however as the book progressed it became apparent that Anna was just going to be an annoying character. I understand having a chronic illness can put a damper on oneself but that didn’t mean her character needed to be a paranoid bratty individual who constantly pushed Frey away for the sake of self preservation.
