Fifteen hundred years ago, Frey was a noble warrior until a vengeful fae queen stripped his magic and trapped him in a cold, stone body. For centuries, he has endured a silent, agonizing existence, watching the world evolve while he remained a decorative relic. His salvation arrives in the form of a quiet museum job, where he is displayed alongside his kin, waiting for a spark of hope that seems impossible to find.
Anna Kincaid is just trying to navigate the complexities of modern life when she lands a position at a mysterious museum. She expects to handle artifacts, not a living, breathing gargoyle who awakens and immediately claims her as his fated mate. As she is plunged into a hidden world of supernatural danger, Anna must learn to trust an ancient, possessive protector who is as dangerous as he is devoted.
This steamy urban fantasy blends historical intrigue with a high-stakes second-chance romance. As Frey and Anna navigate the clash between medieval duty and modern reality, they discover a profound found-family dynamic among the cursed gargoyles. If you crave intense paranormal chemistry, protective monster heroes, and a story about reclaiming one’s soul, this journey of acceptance and passion is your next must-read.

『A possessive need to care and protect curled around Frey’s heart, stronger than anything he’d felt before.』 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Amazing story of acceptance and support. Anna recently started working at a museum and she really likes it. Great working conditions, benefits and vast collection of Welsh items with hundreds of grotesques. Statues of gargoyle warriors are so intriguing and captivating, but Anna found one who is hers. She cannot describe why she thinks it’s her warrior, her statue but she...

I was pleasantly surprised with how good this book was. Once Frey is awoken from his stony slumber, his journey with Anna begins. However, their love story isn’t easy, as they face many trials from the complexities of breaking a curse, to the simplicities of finding balance in their relationship. My only hang-ups with the book that kept it from being a 4 star were: I felt that I felt that Anna’s insecurities from her toxic relationship with her mother were overplayed & the the final battle...

This story was definitely an interesting one. I enjoyed reading the first one in the series, however as the book progressed it became apparent that Anna was just going to be an annoying character. I understand having a chronic illness can put a damper on oneself but that didn’t mean her character needed to be a paranoid bratty individual who constantly pushed Frey away for the sake of self preservation. I wanted to like this FMC but it seemed like her character always found something to be...

I adored everything about this story! Love the lore, the plot, and the characters. Frey meets Anna in the most unconventional way: he's a statue at the museum where she works, but he comes to life. It's fate! Or maybe it's just a sexy gargoyle in tight gray sweatpants? ... or it’s fate. Ok, maybe a bit of both. lol Between the cozy moments and the bit of high-stakes mystery, these two moody lovebirds build a strong connection. Due to their magnetic chemistry, the romantic build-up had me...
