I finished this book last night & I was too much of a wreck to write the review at that time. This book had some of the highest of highs, but the last 10 to 20 percent was just brutal, watching all of the characters you've come to adore be smashed on the rocks below that titular Heartless Sky. Trigger Warning : violence, death, confinement, hate crimes, torture, self harm, physical abuse, emotional abuse, misogyny, racism, bigotry, classism, mental health struggles, slavery, murder, sexual assault This book more than any of the others does a great job of balancing moving the plot forward, answering questions from previous books, and heartwarming moments between our main and side characters. It also has the best balance, so far, of dark moments and moments that actually made me smile....

My whole heart has been ripped from my chest. I have never sobbed as hard as I have in the last 100 pages of this book. I knew that this ending was coming.
