Faefever: Fever, Book 3

by Karen Marie Moning

About this book

MacKayla Lane is no longer the wide-eyed girl who arrived in Dublin seeking answers about her sister’s murder. After being irrevocably changed by the brutal realities of the Fae world, she has evolved into a hardened survivor navigating a lethal game of shadows. As the hunt for the Sinsar Dubh—a sentient, corrupting grimoire of forbidden magic—intensifies, Mac finds herself trapped in a web of treachery where the line between ally and enemy is razor-thin.

This installment of the urban fantasy series masterfully deepens the tension between Mac and the enigmatic, dangerous Jericho Barrons. Their complex connection is the ultimate slow-burn, embodying the quintessential enemies-to-lovers dynamic set against a backdrop of dark romance. As All Hallows’ Eve looms, the stakes reach a breaking point, forcing Mac to embrace her own shades of gray to survive a world where monsters hide in plain sight.

If you crave a paranormal read that blends historical mystery, gritty atmosphere, and high-stakes obsession, this is your next addiction. The narrative is a pulse-pounding descent into a realm where every choice carries a heavy price. Prepare to be consumed by a story where the darkness is just as seductive as it is deadly.

The cornerstone of the Fever Series. The third book out of five, FAEFEVER, is packed with enough reveals, action, and drama to suck you in and hold on tight to you until the end. The book is written with those new to the series in mind, hints and explanations abound. But please do yourself the favor of starting with book one, DARKFEVER. Read slowly. Pay attention. Moning is a master of dropping clues along the way. Think HARRY POTTER for adults. Why would you want to miss the upward ride? The...

Love this Series!

Faefever by Karen Marie Moning is the third in the MacKayla Lane series and yet another great thrill ride for Mac! She sure leads the exciting life although battling monsters and wondering if you're going to live another day isn't exactly the kind of excitement I would thrive on but Mac sure does. I just love her as a character - she's spunky and funny and never one to shy away from a battle. This installment finds Mac still in Dublin and still wanting revenge on the Lord Master for her sister...

A big move for this series

“I was adrift in a sea of questions and if answers were lifeboats, I was in imminent danger of drowning.” The Good Mac is changing. She's shades of gray mixed in with the pink she's trying to hard to cling to in order to maintain something of her usual self. As I read her story, I feel like we're best buds, hanging out in the living room, and she's giving me a bit of backstory about herself that I hadn't heard yet. I'm not sure why the writing pulls me in so much that I feel such a great...

Loved this series!

4.5 Stars! Because I couldn’t possibly write a review for each of these books individually, this is a review of the original Fever series (books 1 through 5). Not only would it be too difficult to review them on an individual basis, but it just wasn’t going to happen because I couldn’t stop long enough between books to even be bothered to write a review. I devoured these books. This is so not my cup of tea. I’m a traditional girl. I like believability, relatability, and normalcy. I like...

4.5 stars. What's going to happen?

4.5 stars. *** spoilers alert *** Wow! I mean, I got to the last page, hit next page and flipped my Kindle to see if there's was something I was missing, because this was one of the cruelest cliff hangers I have ever read. Everything's changed and Mac has lost herself, she's truly alone, with no one to watch her back. Dublin has crumbled, the Unseelie are out, the Sinshar Dubh is out there and we are watching the drama unfold, only knowing that there are two books to be read. I am not going to...
