Rachel Morgan is the toughest witch in Cincinnati, but running her own supernatural bounty hunter service is proving to be a dangerous gamble. After breaking free from her corrupt former employers, she finds herself trapped in a volatile living arrangement with her vampire roommate, Ivy. As the city’s underworld descends into a brutal turf war, Rachel must navigate a crumbling personal life where her boyfriend is missing and a seductive vampire named Kisten is becoming far too tempting to ignore.
This installment is a masterclass in dark romance and high-stakes tension. The forced-proximity trope reaches a fever pitch as Rachel and Ivy struggle with their fraying bond and shifting loyalties. Between the supernatural politics and the simmering attraction that pulses through every scene, the emotional stakes are just as lethal as the physical ones. For fans of gritty urban fantasy, this story delivers the perfect blend of biting wit and intense, supernatural passion.
The clock is ticking on a desperate bargain Rachel made to save her family. An archdemon is coming to collect her soul, threatening to drag her into a sorcerous hell for eternity. If you crave a paranormal series that refuses to play it safe, Rachel’s relentless fight for survival will leave you breathless.

This was another breathtaking entry in the complex and colorful world of Miss Rachel Morgan, sort of a supernatural bounty hunter if you may, who always manages to get into immense trouble and who longs for drinking coffee on Ivy's couch while trying to figure a way to save her life. This is the third installment of this delicious series and I cannot stress enough to read it in order, this story line has so many twists and turns that's it's easier than I can say to spoil things and ruin those...

You know how “they” say the things you hate in others are the things you like least about yourself? When I was 21, after an extreme bout of poor decision-making, I decided to take a sabbatical from dating. In quick succession, I had dated a slightly-younger-than-me guy, a guy who was my age, and a more-than-slightly-older-than-me guy, and they were ALL great, big lamewads. 19 y.o. Mark, the 6’7” college basketball player and DRAMA QUEEN liked to wake up, drink milk, and then try to kiss me . ....

The book looks great. Not ripped or torn. A little wear from being a used book but looks good with the collection. )

This series is definitely one of my favorites. I am re-reading and reviewing, and will rate each book on it's own merit. The Good When The Good, The Bad, and the Undead left off, Rachel had beaten the dead vampire Piscary and promised Al to be his familiar in exchange for his testimony to put Piscary behind bars. This one starts off strong, with Rachel calling Al to pay up what she owes and continues to the end with action. Harrison is doing a wonderful job rounding out these characters. Don't...
