Just how many home runs can one author have? It almost seems too easy to keep giving this author’s books 5 stars. But trust that they are well earned. She is one of my favorite authors for many reasons. But mostly for being able to write some of the best “frenemies to lovers” books more than anyone else that I know. 4⭐️ - a “consultant” (a.k.a. Hunter) in turmoil over hating but desiring a vampire princess. Great setup, interesting plot (so far), and untapped potential when coupled with the introduction of witches and prophecies. All of those elements I loved and of course the writing well done, so if you like a good vampire book, you should read it. This was an exciting story to read. I liked all the characters except those that were abusive to the main characters, Princess Aurelia and Vesper. I felt sad for the princess having an uncaring father after her mother the Queen was murdered and the father remarried.
