Dark Demon (The Dark Book 16)

by Christine Feehan

About this book

A female vampire slayer proves as seductive—and mysterious—as the night dwellers she stalks in this novel in the 1 New York Times bestselling Carpathian series.

For as long as she can remember, Natalya has been fighting demons: first in the form of childhood nightmares, then later, immortal creatures that kill and prey on the innocent—including her own twin brother. Whether Carpathian or vampire, she slays those who murder by night, and has no equal—until she is seduced by the very thing she considers her enemy... A Carpathian who has seen nearly everything in his endless existence, Vikirnoff didn’t think he could be surprised anymore—until he faces a woman who rivals him as a vampire hunter. A formidable and gifted warrior in her own right, Natalya has a nature that is strangely familiar—yet alien—to his own. Who is this mysterious female who fears no one—not even him? Natalya could be the key to the survival of the Carpathians, but all Vikirnoff is certain of is that she is the key to his heart and soul...

Good book - Spicy

The print quality is fantastic. Exactly how I remember it as a kid. Mass-produced books have actually always been a favorite of mine. The way the pages smell, the soft fluttering of the pages as you fan through them, or just turning each page, really makes you feel that cozying up with a book vibe that we readers crave. Definitely a good quality to add to the shelves. Especially for those of us with a TBR taller than we are. Beautifully priced and excellently crafted. )

How could you fail to like this book?

It has everything: romance, action, magik, history, humor, friendship, two peacefully co-existing plots, and, of course, a little sex (don't like the scenes? Skip 'em!). The story of the main two lifemates is told in vivid detail, thankfully not relegated to subplot status. The time Feehan takes in developing the relationship between Natalya and Vikirnoff only adds to each battle sequence. Couple that with the co-plot of the vampires and wizards vs. Carpathians, and the truth about the...

Phenomenally Done. One of the Best

Dark Demon was one of the best Carpathian books so far. This entire book is one turn after the next with countless battle scenes and more humor that in previous books. This book takes place in the Carpathian Mountains again and I instantly loved that aspect. The female lead is the biggest smart mouth Feehan has written in the Dark series thus far and she did it so well. I loved the male lead from his previous appearances in earlier books. I have found that if you have a male in a book that...

He wanted June Cleaver, but what he got was Xena, the Warrior Princess

I liked Vikirnoff from his appearances in Dark Destiny and Dark Secret, and in this book, he doesn't disappoint. Even though Destiny repeatedly calls him a caveman and he readily admits to knowing nothing about women, he displays a very open and understanding mind when it comes to his lifemate, Natalya, even going so far as to develop a sense of humor. I loved Natalya's snarky, sarcastic quips, her horror movie references, and how she drives Vik crazy since he was expecting June Cleaver and...

The stories are all tying together. She added more action and is filling in the questions. On to the next episode! )
