Natalya has spent her life waging a brutal war against the shadows. As a lethal vampire hunter, she is driven by a singular purpose: to eradicate the immortal monsters that prey on the innocent. She is a woman who fears nothing, standing as an equal to the creatures she stalks. However, her world shifts violently when she crosses paths with Vikirnoff, an ancient Carpathian whose strength and intensity rival her own.
What begins as a clash between natural enemies quickly spirals into an intoxicating dance of power and desire. Vikirnoff is a warrior who has seen it all, yet he finds himself completely captivated by the mysterious woman who challenges his dominance at every turn. As they navigate a high-stakes landscape of ancient magic and relentless combat, the line between hunter and prey begins to blur, forcing them to confront a connection that defies their expectations.
This installment of the iconic Carpathian series perfectly blends pulse-pounding urban fantasy with a scorching enemies-to-lovers romance. Packed with intense battle sequences, sharp humor, and deep, atmospheric world-building, it is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance. Whether you are craving visceral action or an epic fated-mate love story, this gripping tale delivers an unforgettable thrill ride.

The print quality is fantastic. Exactly how I remember it as a kid. Mass-produced books have actually always been a favorite of mine. The way the pages smell, the soft fluttering of the pages as you fan through them, or just turning each page, really makes you feel that cozying up with a book vibe that we readers crave. Definitely a good quality to add to the shelves. Especially for those of us with a TBR taller than we are. Beautifully priced and excellently crafted. )

It has everything: romance, action, magik, history, humor, friendship, two peacefully co-existing plots, and, of course, a little sex (don't like the scenes? Skip 'em!). The story of the main two lifemates is told in vivid detail, thankfully not relegated to subplot status. The time Feehan takes in developing the relationship between Natalya and Vikirnoff only adds to each battle sequence. Couple that with the co-plot of the vampires and wizards vs. Carpathians, and the truth about the...

Dark Demon was one of the best Carpathian books so far. This entire book is one turn after the next with countless battle scenes and more humor that in previous books. This book takes place in the Carpathian Mountains again and I instantly loved that aspect. The female lead is the biggest smart mouth Feehan has written in the Dark series thus far and she did it so well. I loved the male lead from his previous appearances in earlier books. I have found that if you have a male in a book that...

I liked Vikirnoff from his appearances in Dark Destiny and Dark Secret, and in this book, he doesn't disappoint. Even though Destiny repeatedly calls him a caveman and he readily admits to knowing nothing about women, he displays a very open and understanding mind when it comes to his lifemate, Natalya, even going so far as to develop a sense of humor. I loved Natalya's snarky, sarcastic quips, her horror movie references, and how she drives Vik crazy since he was expecting June Cleaver and...
